Message Fixed the wiring in my passenger side O2 sensor, replaced my driver side O2 sensor, and the car runs worse than before. It backfires louder and more frequent, and still wants to stumble and die.

Previously I complained of the car going from running really rough to not starting at all, that was because I had unknowingly idled the car out of gas (it was pretty low when I parked it).

To refresh your memory, here's a list of things I have tested/done:

DW 555 Injectors
Injector O-rings and injector connectors
Fuel rail/lower intake seals, pressurized the rails with air under water = no bubbles/leaks
All fuel hoses and filter
Fuel and coolant temp sensors
MANY if not all vacuum lines
Installed an HKS EVC
Manually rotated CAS, all injectors are clicking/firing
Reprogrammed ECU from Coz for the larger injectors
Visually traced injector wires to ensure all connectors are on the right injector
Performed power/balance test = good
Swapped air regulator for another, both ohm out properly and can watch the bi-metal device work as it's supposed to.
AAC valve operates correctly according to Blazt
Rechecked tps, throttle closed is .45, but throttle fully open goes to a max of ~2.90--Never had any drive ability issues before the plenum pull
Initially the dipstick o-rings were letting air escape, a boost leak test fixed that.
Watched engine temp sensor voltage change from ~2.97 volts to ~1.37 volts as the car warmed up.
Swapped out MAF with a known good one, no result (however, with the MAF unplugged, the car ran almost perfectly, but I didn't drive it).
Plenum torqued to spec in a criss-cross pattern.
Fuel pressure at idle is 37 psi, pressure regulator unplugged is ~44psi. As the car is in the process of stalling, pressure goes up several pounds.
Timing is spot on 15 degrees BTDC checked via timing light and blaZt
Both O2 sensors are new and correctly wired up
Code 55

I still have an idea that the EFI harness (brittle and old) is the culprit; that during my 3? 4? plenum pulls I have broke insulation and wiring. But obviously I don't want to go through the time and expense to replace it if there is another underlying issue--not if I don't have to.

I'm getting weary of coming home from work and working more on the Z. I want to drive it. Someone hit a help homerun for me!
